HANDMADE GRADUATION AND WEDDING CARDS

Handmade Graduation Card

In the month of June, there are two events for which congratulations
are in order....weddings and graduations. June is a very popular month for weddings but not the only one ...August is also very popular.

In celebration of these two events I decided to do two cards- one for each event... I did the graduation card in black and white(it is of course for a more mature graduate at University or High School/Secondary School). For a younger age, I would suggest softer colours.

Handmade Congratulations Wedding Card

The wedding card was done in teal and green. I used glitter card stock, ribbon, stamps, double sided foam tape. This wedding card can double as an anniversary card or a wedding invitation card by changing the colours and the stamped greetings. You can remove the glitter card stock  if you are doing invitations as these are more expensive than cardstock. To make the wedding invitation more affordable you can replace the glittered card stock with plain card stock which you can emboss using embossing machines like the big shot by Sizzix.

Hope you like these handmade cards and don't forget to leave a comment at the end of the post.

Happy Father's Day!

To all the wonderful fathers out there. I wish you all a Happy Father's Day.
For a look at my new cards for 2014. Check out my other blog www.sweetcherrycards.blogspot.com

All my new creations will be posted there from now on.

My cards mainly carry a nautical theme. I like to use, the colours, blue, green, brown, and yellow when I do my male cards. Even though I don't swim I love the seaside.... maybe its because I live on an island. I also did one garden theme and one with a beer theme and a few bbq themes. I love a good BBQ.

For my Father's day wishes, I used very simple lines e.g.

"Hope you have a day filled with fun and laughter."
"This is your day, Dad ...to just relax without interruptions."
"Hey Dad...you are my No.1...Happy Father's Day"
